ATTA & JESSICA - A MODERN ROMANCE

We are so thrilled to share this remarkable wedding with everyone. This wedding was one of our favourite weddings to design and work on, and it was for a whole lot of different reasons. First of, this was a high profile client. The bride is a capital-city presenter, actress and national television programme host. The groom, on the other hand, is a national singer from the show The Voice Indonesia. So hands up, no pressure at all, right? Second of, this was not our first wedding, but it was our very first outdoor wedding, something that not a lot of Indonesians (Batam citizens, in particular) are willing to do.

A Western-style wedding. That's how it all began. The concept of this marriage was intimate. The couple wanted their very closest family and friends to come and join the celebration of their love. Simple, elegant and classy. With that in mind, we had the responsibility to create an intimate environment while keeping the setup of the wedding reception stand out. So this is what we came down to. A wedding arch, bridal table, standing flowers and long table setups in the colours of maroon, red, white and green.

Our  favourite thing about this couple is that, they gave us a complete freedom in designing their wedding day. No questions asked, not much request, totally hassle-free, starting from the choice of colour palette, down to the decoration elements. Over the years, we have concluded that the best decoration is the one that is fully handed over to us, event designers, and the ones that turn out to be mediocre, are the ones where too much request is put into the creation and installation of the decoration. ​

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this #NotYourBasic photo booth that we originally designed for Atta and Jessica? We came out with this design with a couple of things in mind. First of all, we did not want to ruin the breathtaking view of the ocean, that's why we created hollow white cubes. Second of all, we wanted to make the colour of the wedding pop out, which is why we created a floral vine in broken white, red and maroon. First in Batam island!

It is all in the details, ladies and gentlemen. In the end, what distinguishes us from mediocrity is the little things that we put our 110% attention to. Thank you, Atta & Jessica!
